Krzysztof Warlikowski

Krzysztof Warlikowski is one of the most unconventional and innovative directors in European theatre. His opera productions have taken him to Brussels, Paris, London and Salzburg, among other places, where he was most recently celebrated in summer 2024 for his opera production of The Idiot based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky. His first productions in Germany were at Schauspiel Stuttgart: Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in 1999 and The Tempest in 2000. In 2018/19, his production of Iphigénie en Tauride was staged at the Stuttgart State Opera. In April 2022, he was at Schauspiel Stuttgart with Odyssey. A Story for Hollywood, a production of Nowy Teatr, Warsaw.
